No reason to give up hope
Read Lars Josefsson on the Washington Post’s Planet Panel (Dec 1):
As we are getting closer to COP15 and nations begin setting their agendas, are their goals realistic?
Whether or not a commitment is “big enough” or realistic depends on what other countries can do and how the technological and political situation develops over time. The promises of the U.S. and China for example may seem insufficient today – but they give us something to build on, and no reason to give up hope.
